Catch
basin inserts are a treatment BMP for the removal of pollutants. Catch basin
filters in all catch basins are used in operating areas of a site for the
control of raw / finished product, materials and daily activities. The catch
basin insert contains an absorbent pillow to capture oil and grease, a
non-woven geo-textile liner for stormwater filtration, flocculation and
coagulation treatment of filtering particulates to control material, chemical
and biological types.

Sea Life Saver® Natural adsorbent Pillow
The best natural filter
medium available for the filtration of water. It offers superior performance,
giving purer water and higher throughput rates with less maintenance required.
The highly porous structure captures particulate contamination down to 4
microns in size. It has a natural negative charge which gives it the capacity
to adsorb cations, such as heavy metals and ammonium. It also absorbs some
organic contaminants and undesirable odors. Natural adsorbent particles also
act as seeds to boost bacterial flocs by attracting and increasing bacterial
action per unit volume. It Is
an excellent ion exchange for the removal and recovery of heavy metal carbons
(Pb, Cu, Cd, Zn, Co, Cr, Mn and Fe; Pb, Cu as high as 97%) EPA approved.
Sea Life Saver® Treatment
Pouches
Improves removal of Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD), Chemical Oxygen
Demand (COD), non-biodegradable organic compounds and toxicity. Oil de-gumming,
deodorization and hydrogenation to chelate trace metals which can catalyse
rancidity reactions.
Water resistant loose polypropylene material for oil and grease
absorption is a replaceable media for all Sea Life Saver® filtration products.
COMPLETE SYSTEM FLOW RATE: Full facility filtration using Sea Life Saver® products have proven the capability of withstanding the 300 gallon per second (depending on size of facility) and 10 year storm event to reduce zinc, iron, copper, , lead, TSS total suspended solids, dissolved solids, Turbidity, hardness, COD, BOD, fecal Coliform, and grease and oil with maintenance to meet and exceed your facilities operational demands.
